Ensure that all customs assignments are carried out to the highest standards in order to provide outstanding value to clients and the Firm; develop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters; and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Law or Economics from a recognised institution. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA).
Technical expertise in Customs and Excise matters
Technical expertise in VAT will be an added advantage
At least six (6) years’ post-qualification experience as a Customs and Excise advisor/consultant with at least 1 year experience in middle level management.
Have at least three (3) years’ experience in a professional services firm client facing role.
Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
Excellent client facing, relationship building and business development skills.
An ability to analyse information, identify issues and prioritise them.
Good knowledge of international and national taxation principles.
