Senior Health Economist
KEMRIJob Description
Conduct research on the cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and equity analysis of PDMC, leading to peer-reviewed publications. They will design and implement data collection tools for health facilities, supervise fieldworkers, and coordinate with qualitative researchers to gather economic and financial data through key informant interviews. The role involves analyzing collected data, preparing research reports and policy briefs, and presenting findings at national and international conferences focused on health economics, child health, and malaria. The researcher must maintain high research quality standards throughout all project phases, from data collection tool design to final analysis and dissemination of results.
Requirements
MSc degree in Health Economics, Development Economics, Quantitative Economics, Public health/health sciences, Economic Policy and Planning with a strong focus on health;
A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Public Administration or relevant health science;
Experience and skills in costing, and cost-effectiveness analysis of healthcare interventions;
Experience in health systems management and the Kenyan health sector specifically;
