Job Description

The Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) for Takaba Water and Sewerage Company will be responsible for managing and improving water and sewerage services in Mandera County. The CEOs will promote the conservation of water supply sources and formulate water control guidelines in line with national laws. They will oversee the continuous improvement of water and sewerage services, ensuring compliance with service delivery standards and community-based approaches. Additionally, they will manage the department's resources, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure the financial viability of the companies. The CEOs will also be tasked with managing the department’s budget and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Requirements

Applicants must be Kenyan citizens with a degree from a recognized university. They should have at least ten (10) years of experience in a relevant field, with at least five (5) years in senior management positions in either the public or private sector. A qualification in Strategic Leadership Development or a senior management course is an added advantage. Applicants should be computer literate, familiar with water laws and service provision agreements (SPAs), and knowledgeable about environmental impact assessments and national development objectives such as Vision 2030.
