Principal Administration Officer

The Principal Administration Officer will be responsible for implementing administrative policies, procedures, and strategies within the department. Key responsibilities include preparing briefs and memos, compiling monthly utilization and expenditure data for all vehicles, preparing reports on motor vehicles, ensuring the provision of office equipment and materials, maintaining and updating furniture and office equipment inventories, overseeing telephone and registry services, and coordinating security services. The officer will also be in charge of building maintenance, office cleanliness, and the general upkeep of departmental operations.
Requirements
For appointment to this grade, candidates must have served in the grade of Chief Administration Officer or a comparable position in either the public or private sector for at least three years. A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government, or a related discipline from a recognized institution is required. Applicants must also possess a Certificate in Senior Management Course (at least four weeks duration) or its equivalent from a recognized institution and a Certificate in computer application skills. Candidates should demonstrate merit and ability, as reflected in work performance and results.
