Reporting to the CEO in the interim, the Director, Fixed Business will be responsible for Safaricom Group’s Fixed Business strategic and execution. The role will lead the development and implementation of fixed business strategic initiatives that drive growth and transformation. The role will drive business growth by accelerating the fixed broadband customer base, launch converged value propositions, and extend coverage. This role will ensure that the fixed business strategies align with the overall Safaricom Group goals and objectives and will play a key role in driving transformational and innovation initiatives and programs.
Requirements
At least ten (10) years’ knowledge and experience in the relevant field.
Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field along with technical qualifications, or equivalent qualification(s) from a recognized institution of higher learning.
MBA or relevant Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Member in good standing of a recognized professional body.
Superior business understanding, with the ability to leverage technology to solve business and technical issues.
Strong experience in leading and delivering Fixed Business programs and Innovation agenda.
Experience with fixed business feasibility planning and business modelling.
Existing relationships with fixed business active equipment (GPON, etc.) suppliers.
