Reporting to the Manager, Financial Analysis and Reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating the comprehensive review and interpretation of financial statements and related data submitted by market intermediaries, issuers of securities, and approved institutions. This role ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other relevant standards by maintaining up-to-date financial databases, evaluating disclosures in public communications, and conducting detailed financial reviews for licensing applications and corporate actions—including bonus issues, rights issues, share splits, and restructurings—to protect investor interests and uphold the integrity of Kenya’s capital markets.
Bachelor’s degree in finance or business-related field;
Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIFA or CFA;
Membership in a professional body such as ICPAK;
A supervisory course lasting not less than 2 weeks is added advantage; and
At least 4 years’ relevant experience.
