Senior Manager Approvals, Analysis & Issuer Governance (Grade 3) - Ref: CMA/SMAAIG/02/2025 – 1 Post

Reporting to the Director, Market Operations, the Senior Manager Approvals, Analysis & Issuer Governance is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership in licensing market intermediaries, approving institutions and issuers, and overseeing corporate actions in compliance with the capital markets regulatory framework. The role involves developing and implementing strategies, policies and programs for reviewing financial information, managing corporate actions such as private placements, bonus issues, rights issues, mergers, acquisitions and takeovers, and ensuring adherence to corporate governance standards. Additionally, the successful candidate will liaise with government agencies, securities exchanges, and other key stakeholders, conduct fitness and probity assessments, and champion emerging trends including ESG and integrated reporting, while supervising and mentoring departmental staff to drive compliance and enhance market efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Law or relevant field;

• Relevant Masters’ degree;

• Membership to relevant professional body in good standing;

• If a lawyer, Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with valid Practicing certificate;

• At least eight (8) years’ experience with at least three (3) years in a Managerial role;

• Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks is an added advantage.
