Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, this role involves recommending, implementing, and monitoring system databases, providing support to application system administrators, and implementing best practices for data management. The administrator will manage and support high-performance, highly available, and mission-critical database platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in an ICT related field
Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in database administration
OCP/OCA database certification(s) (added advantage)
In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server Operating systems
Strong knowledge of high availability configurations, clustering technologies
Good knowledge of WebLogic, Business Intelligence, ODI, IIS, Audit Vault, Database firewall and databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Strong Knowledge of backup appliances such as Veritas NetBackup (added advantage)
Good working knowledge of server virtualized environment (VMWare & Oracle VM Manager)
