You will provide strategic academic leadership in teaching, research, program development, and mentorship in the field of Exercise and Sports Science. You will also play a pivotal role in designing academic programs, guiding research agendas, and leading the establishment of the Department of Sports Science and Management.
An earned PhD in Exercise and Sports Science, Physical Education, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, or a related field from a recognised institution.
At least three (3) years of demonstrated quality and progressive teaching experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent, and research experience.
A minimum of six (6) high-quality publications in refereed journals since last promotion to the position of Associate Professor.
Supervised a minimum of five (5) postgraduate students to completion, including at least two (2) at the doctoral level.
Attracted research or development funds as an Associate Professor or equivalent.
Registered with the relevant professional body.
Demonstrated evidence of service to the University and community.
Experience working with professional bodies, regulatory agencies, or industry partners in the sports or health sector is desirable.
Evidence of both national and international contributions through scholarly meetings, conferences, research seminars and service in national/international advisory boards.
Competence in using technology for research, data analysis, and e-learning.
