You will formulate, implement, and review health policies, regulations, standards, and guidelines for mental health services. You will also oversee the provision of promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health services while managing hospital healthcare programs and projects.
Served cumulatively for ten (10) years relevant work with at least five (5) years’ experience in a management position or served in the grade of Medical Specialist for a minimum of three (3) years or its equivalent.
Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) from an Institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
Master of Medicine in Psychiatry or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
Sub Specialization in any of the following disciplines; Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, perinatal psychiatric, or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
Registration Certificate by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
Valid 2025, practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
Specialist recognition certificate from the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
Retention in the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council Register.
Leadership/Management Course lasting not less than six (6) weeks.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
