Legal Counsel

You will be responsible for providing legal support to allocated units for the retail banking business, from account opening, lending, and securities to contracting and business projects. Your role will also cover litigation, retail collections, and retail recoveries.

• Bachelor’s Degree Law (LLB)

• Master of Laws (LLM) (Desired but not necessary)

• Admission as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya (minimum 3 - 5 years post admission)

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the legal department of a busy organization, financial institution or law firm

• Sound exposure to: Contract and customer documentation drafting

• Sound exposure to: Development of sound legal advisory and sound general advice

• Sound exposure to: Credit or lending

• Sound exposure to: Legal assisted recoveries
