You will be responsible for collaborating with the sales team to understand customer requirements, business objectives, and technical constraints. You will also design, architect, and document end-to-end technical solutions leveraging Safaricom's portfolio.
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of proven experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or systems engineering role, preferably within a telecommunications, MSP, or technology vendor environment.
Strong understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, LAN/WAN, SD-WAN) and telecommunications infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with at least two of the following domains: Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Cybersecurity, IoT platforms, or Unified Communications.
Knowledge of Agile practices and methodology
Professional certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CEH, CISSP, or similar.
Experience with API integration and a basic understanding of software development principles.
Knowledge of the Kenyan and East African enterprise technology landscape.
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
