You will initiate and implement Fisheries policies, projects, and strategies, while also evaluating monitoring, control, and surveillance systems. You will coordinate fisheries extension services, promote fish marketing and value addition, and liaise with research institutions.
Served in the grade of Principal Fisheries Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years
Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: nullFisheries, Zoology, Aquatic Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology, Environmental Science, Biological Sciences, Physical Science, Chemistry or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution
Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: nullBiological Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Aquatic Sciences, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology, Environmental Science, Physical Sciences or any equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized Institution
Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
Certificate of membership to a professional body from a recognized institution
Certificate in computer application skills
Knowledge of the Fisheries development and management policies, Fisheries Act and other related Acts and international conventions
