Intern-Information Management
UNEPJob Description
Responsible for assisting in the collection, organization, and analysis of information, supporting data management systems, maintaining digital records, and ensuring data accuracy. This role also involves generating reports, assisting with database updates, and providing technical support for information systems.
Requirements
Must meet one of the following at the time of application: be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or higher), be in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent), or have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
Computer literate in standard software applications.
Demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter.
Ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs, with openness to understanding and respecting differing opinions.
degree in one or more of the sciences and/or a field relevant to the environment, such as environmental studies, environmental economics, environmental assessments, environmental monitoring, climate change and services, international studies, mathematics, statistics, computer science, and information technology.
No prior work experience is required.
Training, education, advanced coursework, or skills should contribute to the work of the United Nations during the internship.
