Intern - Information Technology & Communication

Responsible for assisting in IT support, troubleshooting technical issues, managing communication systems, and maintaining software and hardware infrastructure. Supports digital communication efforts and ensures smooth IT operations.

• Applicants must meet one of the following requirements at the time of application:

  • Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher),

  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent),

  • Have graduated with a Bachelor's degree, Master's, Ph.D., or equivalent.

• Be computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).

• Demonstrate a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.

• Demonstrate the ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, including a willingness to understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.

• Preferred areas of study: Currently pursuing or recently attained an advanced university degree in Communications and IT, Graphic Design, Application Analysis, Application Development, Data Analysis, or other related fields (Master's or Ph.D. candidate preferably).

• Professional experience: Not required, but a field of study closely related to the internship is necessary.

• Applicants must be in the final year of a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program or have completed one. Proof of eligibility must be attached, and an official certificate will be required at a later stage.

• Required experience:

  • Research and copy editing, communications, tools development and management, project development and management. Applicants should provide examples.

  • Event organization (desirable): Experience in organizing events such as expert group meetings, consultative meetings, conferences, or supporting outreach activities. Applicants should provide examples.

  • Database management/data analytics (desirable): Experience in data analysis or related areas. Applicants should provide examples.
