Responsible for supporting policy research, data analysis, and strategy development. Assists in drafting reports, evaluating policy impacts, and providing insights to improve decision-making processes.
Enrolled in a graduate school program (Master’s degree or equivalent or higher) OR enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) OR have graduated with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D.
Must provide an official certificate upon request.
Proficiency in socio-economic research and policy/framework analysis on issues related to the development of slums and informal settlements.
Experience conducting research on informal settlements and socio-economic challenges.
Ability to analyze policies and frameworks related to urban development.
Experience developing community-based strategies for slum improvement.
Good knowledge or experience in the Southern Africa (SADC) urban development context.
Understanding of urbanization trends and housing policies in SADC countries.
Experience analyzing socio-economic disparities and governance structures.
Familiarity with inclusive urban development strategies tailored to the SADC region.
Strong technical report writing skills, including research and policy briefs, position papers, and thematic articles.
Experience writing policy briefs on urban development and sustainable housing.
Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to present findings effectively.
