Responsible for providing expert guidance on the sustainable management of marine and coastal ecosystems, including policy development, conservation strategies, and impact assessments. This role involves advising on marine biodiversity protection, climate resilience, and sustainable resource utilization while collaborating with stakeholders to implement best practices for coastal and ocean governance.
An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Marine Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources Management, or a related discipline is required.
Minimum of seven years of professional experience working on regional marine and coastal-related projects at a technical level.
Demonstrated experience in the development and review of proposals for small-scale interventions in coastal ecosystem conservation, natural resources management, climate change, community engagement, and water resource management.
Experience working with different stakeholders at both strategic and technical levels.
Proven ability to deliver quality assignments promptly.
Experience working with the Governments of the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) region is required.
