Responsible for teaching, research, and mentorship in Law, with a focus on specialized legal fields such as constitutional law, commercial law, or international law. The role includes curriculum development, supervision of postgraduate research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and contributing to legal scholarship. Additionally, the Senior Lecturer engages in consultancy, policy development, community service, and fostering industry collaborations.
Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty.
Have at least twelve (12) years of university teaching experience, three (3) of which as full-time Associate Professor;
Have at least sixty (60) publication points, forty (40) of which are from articles in refereed scholarly journals since being appointed Associate Professor;
Have successfully supervised to completion of at least six (6) Master and two (2) PhD students since being appointed Associate Professor;
Show evidence of successfully securing at least two (2) research grants since being appointed Associate Professor;
Show evidence of attendance and contribution to learned conferences, seminars, or workshops;
Show evidence of active participation/leadership in university activities;
Show evidence of continued research.
