Responsible for teaching, research, and mentorship in Law, specializing in areas such as constitutional law, human rights, and legal theory. The role includes supervising postgraduate research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, securing research grants, and contributing to curriculum development and legal scholarship. Additionally, the professor engages in policy advocacy and collaborates with legal institutions to advance the field of law.
Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty. In addition, applicants must:
Have at least twelve (12) years of university teaching experience, three (3) of which as full-time Associate Professor;
Have at least sixty (60) publication points, forty (40) of which are from articles in refereed scholarly journals since being appointed Associate Professor;
Have successfully supervised to completion of at least six (6) Master's and two (2) PhD students since being appointed Associate Professor;
Show evidence of successfully securing at least two (2) research grants since being appointed Associate Professor;
Show evidence of attendance and contribution to learned conferences, seminars, or workshops;
Show evidence of active participation/leadership in university activities; and
Show evidence of continued research.
