The role

Job Description

You will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the SDG MPTF Secretariat, serve as Deputy Secretary to the Fund Board, and support Government-led portfolio design and implementation. You will also monitor portfolio performance against agreed indicators, manage allocation rounds, support resource mobilization strategies, and produce strategic reports.

What you need

Requirements

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in development studies/international development, economics, international relations, political science, governance and public policy, social sciences, or related field (a first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu)
A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in development in developing countries, inter-agency or multi-stakeholder coordination
At least 4 years of experience in managerial support of a pooled fund, specifically pooled funding modalities, including joint programme design, allocation processes, fiduciary oversight and results-based reporting
At least 4 years of experience in donor engagement, resource mobilization and coordination with UN agencies
At least 3 years experience supporting diverse teams, designing work plans and supporting budgets
Excellent analytical writing skills with experience producing strategic reports for senior decision-makers
Preferred: Successful completion of degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs
Preferred: Experience facilitating and leading high-level multi-stakeholder consultations with governments, UN entities and development partners
Fluency in English is required; Swahili or Kiswahili is desirable
