Assistant Manager – East Africa – Conflict Checks and Client Acceptance & Continuance

You will oversee and track the status of conflict checks and client acceptance requests, ensuring timely and high-quality completion. You will also review and validate checks for compliance, support system enhancements, and maintain regular communication with your team and management.

• A bachelors degree in a relevant field.

• Professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA) is an advantage.

• Minimum 4–6 years’ relevant experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or a similar professional services environment.

• Prior experience in conflict checks, client acceptance/continuance, or risk review processes is highly desirable.

• Experience in supervising or managing a team.

• Strong understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements in a professional services firm.

• Familiarity with Deloitte’s policies and procedures (especially DPM 1420, 1430, 1510, 1540, 1610) is an advantage.

• Proficient in using dashboards, workflow management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Experience with risk management systems (e.g. ARIeS) is a plus.
