Director, Higher Education Health Collaboratives

You will lead the delivery of a portfolio of programs advancing health workforce primarily through university partnerships. You will ensure alignment with the HECSI platforms integrated strategy while developing initiatives that strengthen health collaboratives for impact.

• BSc./ Master’s/MBA or PhD in a relevant field such as international development, education, public or global health, or another related field

• At least Fifteen (15) years’ experience in the private/ development sector

• Extensive leadership experience in managing complex programs or initiatives, preferably in the field of education or youth development

• Proven experience effectively engaging with technical experts to build communities of practice

• French language and/or local language skills

• Proven track record of building and managing strategic partnerships

• Strong understanding of higher education systems, particularly in Africa

• Expertise working with development, political and social issues across Africa

• Demonstrated experience working in global health or public health space managing multiple programs

• Demonstrated financial management experience including preparation and management of budgets and contracts
