The role

Job Description

You will oversee the Administration, Planning and Finance Division of the university college, managing human resource, administrative, financial, and infrastructural matters. You will also coordinate resource mobilization strategies, maintain institutional efficiency, and ensure proper enforcement of statutes and regulations.

What you need

Requirements

Earned Doctorate degree or equivalent qualification from a university recognized and accredited in Kenya
Be at least an Associate Professor
Minimum of 12 years of relevant administrative, academic and research experience, 3 of which must be at management level
Substantially held a senior administrative position such as Deputy Principal in a university campus, Director/Deputy Director of an Institute/Directorate/Campus, Dean of a Faculty/School, or Chairperson of a department in a recognized university
Demonstrated training and competence in finance and administration
Leadership training from a recognized and accredited institution
Recognized scholar as evidenced by supervised postgraduate students, attracted research grants/awards, recent publications in internationally recognized journals or university level books
Understanding of the structural, legislative and regulatory framework for administering University Education in Kenya
Good understanding of Government financial, human resource and procurement policies
Proven experience in development and implementation of Strategic Plan, Development Plan, and Master Plan
Good understanding of government financial and fiscal policies, strategic planning, Vision 2030 flagship projects, and Public Procurement and Disposal Act
Membership of a professional body where applicable
Demonstrated ability to mobilize and solicit for funds including enhancing revenue base of the university
Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010
