The role

Job Description

You will provide innovative leadership in managing the university's human, physical, financial, and information resources. You will coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements and implement human resource systems to attract and retain competitive talent.

What you need

Requirements

At least an Associate Professor and holder of an earned Doctorate degree or equivalent qualification from a university recognized and accredited in Kenya
Minimum 12 years of relevant administrative, academic and research experience, with at least 3 years at management level
Demonstrable leadership in an academic or research institution, having served substantively in senior administrative positions such as Deputy Vice Chancellor, Principal, Deputy Principal, Dean, Director, Chairperson, or Registrar
Demonstrated training and competence in finance and administration
Leadership training from a recognized and accredited institution
Proven scholarly record demonstrated by publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals, monographs, books, and book chapters
Supervision and mentorship of postgraduate students
Demonstrable knowledge in technological education training including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
Registered with and an active member of professional associations in relevant field, where applicable
Demonstrable experience in networking, fundraising, and resource mobilization in an academic or research institution
Comply with the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
